Correct Arrangement of Connection Lines in Sludge Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge May 03, 2018

Taking into account that if the actual feed contains excessive particulate matter, the sludge dewatering decanter centrifuge may cause the drum and feed pipe to become clogged, requiring additional coarse or pre-sifting steps. Therefore, the feed line must have a flow control valve, which can stably control the feed amount of the centrifuge, and at the same time avoid excessive material entering and damage the centrifuge.

At the same time, a cleaning line must be connected to the feed line of the sludge dewatering decanter centrifuge. At the end of the operation, it is used to flush the drum and screw. Rinse with water, hot water, alkali or other suitable solvents. Also, a control valve should be installed in the flushing line as close to the feed pipe as necessary to control the flow of the flushing medium. When the flushing line is not used, solid particles in the feed line can be prevented from clogging the purge line.

If separate solutions are required for the mother liquor of the cleaning medium and suspension, a reversing valve shall be installed on the drain tube of the sludge dewatering decanter centrifuge so that when the drum is cleaned, the flushing medium can be changed in direction. In this way, the clear medium and the mother liquid can be prevented from mixing.

In the process of separation of sludge dewatering decanter centrifuges, if it is required to wash the solid phase, rinse-type feeding pipes shall be provided. Rinsing feed tubes allow the solid phase to be rinsed completely and effectively before it is placed on the ramp edge of the bottom of the cone.

In short, all connections to sludge dewatering decanter centrifuges must be connected to the centrifuge in a flexible manner near the body to prevent additional thermal or mechanical stress from affecting the operation of the machine. The solid phase discharge device should be vertically installed below the outlet of the solid phase of the centrifuge, and the inclination of the connecting pipe wall in any direction should not be less than 70 degrees to ensure that no material clogging occurs.

It should be noted that if solid particles accumulate in the housing and hit the drum, severe vibrations will occur and damage to the centrifuge may result. In order to avoid this happening, there should be necessary isolation or sufficient buffering between the solid phase outlet and the liquid discharge port of the sludge dewatering decanter centrifuge and the next process, so as to avoid the backflow of solid solution and the reverse blowing. The situation occurs.

When the process does not allow the cleaning medium to enter the solid phase treatment system, the solid phase discharge system of the sludge dewatering settling centrifuge should be equipped with a reversing device so that when the drum is cleaned, the flushing medium can be switched back to the cleaning system. Prevents the cleaning medium from entering the solids processing system.
